(Spencer)– A Hartley woman was arrested on multiple charges following a traffic stop Friday in the 3200 mile of Highway 18 in Clay county. Upon approaching the vehicle, a deputy noticed the female in the driver seat wasn’t the person he saw driving. After speaking with the two, the deputy learned they had switched places after the vehicle was pulled over.
45-year-old Heather Peterson was charged with driving while barred, failure to display a registration plate, no insurance, fraudulent use of registration, operating a non-registered vehicle, no driver’s license, open container, failure to file S.R. Insurance, driving under suspension and interference with official acts.
Peterson was released on bond.
