Traffic Stop Results In Multiple Charges

(Spencer)– Two men face drug charges following a traffic stop May 30th in Clay county.

The Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle in the 3400 mile of 310th Avenue and reported smelling marijuana as he approached it. An investigation resulted in the driver, 28-year-old Cesar Llanes of Stockton, California, being charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana, speeding, no insurance, no driver’s license, interference with official acts, providing false information to a police officer and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the Clay county jail.

A passenger, 37-year-old Jacob Smith of Faribault, Minnesota, was cited for possession of a controlled substance…marijuana.
