Traffic Stop Results In Drug Charges Against Teen

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– A traffic stop early Thursday on Highway 18 resulted in drug charges against a 16-year-old male juvenile from Ruthven.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle shortly before 1:00 a.m. Thursday for an alleged traffic violation. Upon investigating, the deputy discovered drug paraphernalia in the vehicle and marijuana under the patrol car, where the teen had been standing earlier.

The suspect was taken into custody and was cited into juvenile court on charges of possession of a controlled substance…marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
