Traffic Stop Results In Drug Charges Against Spencer Man

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)—A traffic stop has resulted in the arrest of a Spencer man on drug charges.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle in the 3200 mile of Highway 18 at about 1:30 a.m. this past Sunday for speeding. Upon investigating it was determined the driver, 25-year-old Joshua Haburn of Spencer, had a suspended driver’s license. He was also found to be in possession of what’s alleged to be a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Haburn was booked into the Clay county jail on an enhanced charge of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while suspended. Haburn was also cited for excessive speed.
