(Spirit Lake)– A weekend traffic stop resulted in drug charges against a Lake Park woman.
Spirit Lake police say officers conducted the stop shortly after 2:00 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of 19th Street and Gary Avenue in Spirit Lake.
The department’s K-9 “Zeke” was deployed and located about one ounce of what’s alleged to be marijuana.
The driver, 35-year-old Shelle Marie Brooks of Lake Park was arrested and charged with two traffic violations along with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana…a serious misdemeanor; and prohibited acts…an aggravated misdemeanor.
