(Orange City)– A weekend traffic stop in Sioux county resulted in the arrests of two men on drug charges.
The Sheriff’s Office says the stop was conducted shortly after 7:00 p.m. Saturday on Highway 18 a mile east of Hull.
Upon investigating, authorities arrested the driver, 21-year-old Tyler Kruse of Viborg, South Dakota. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and failure to affix a drug tax stamp…both class “D” felonies.
Kruse was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, open container of alcohol and speeding…all simple misdemeanors.
A passenger in the vehicle, 21-year-old Walter Anderson of Ocheyedan, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance…a serious misdemeanor; and open container of alcohol…a simple misdemeanor.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol.
