(Emmetsburg)– A traffic stop Saturday in Emmetsburg resulted in drug charges against one person.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle at the corner of Call and 17th Street in Emmetsburg.
Upon investigating, it was determined a passenger in the vehicle, Sarah Weyer, was wanted on a warrant out of Boone county for failure to pay two fines.
During a subsequent search of her person, authorities found two baggies in Weyer’s pocket with what’s alleged to be marijuana in them.
Weyer was booked into the Palo Alto county jail for possession of a controlled substance…marijuana…and was held on the warrant for Boone county.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Emmetsburg Police Department.
