(Spencer)– A traffic stop last week in the 4400 mile of Highway 71 in Clay county resulted in the arrest of a Sioux Rapids man on several charges.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle driven by 39-year-old San Juan Tomas Alberto Castro of Sioux Rapids a little before 7:30 pm February 21st and could smell marijuana as he approached it. A subsequent investigation resulted in the discovery of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Castro was arrested and booked into jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance…marijuana…2nd offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and no insurance.
