Traffic Stop Results In Charges Against Teens

(Sibley)– A traffic stop on two vehicles early this (Monday) morning in Sibley resulted in charges against several teens from Ocheyedan.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says the vehicles were pulled over in an alley south of 8th Street off of 4th Avenue in Sibley.

Upon investigating, 19-year-old Cody Dirks of Ocheyedan was arrested for being a person under the legal age and interference with official acts…both simple misdemeanors.

19-year-old Nicholas Pedley of Ocheyedan was arrested on a forgery charge…a class “D” felony; person under the legal age and interference with official acts.

19-year-old Kaitlyn Harms of Ocheyedan was cited for person under legal age and released.

Dirks was booked into the Osceola county jail on a $600 cash bond; Pedley was booked into jail on a $5,600 cash bond.
