(Estherville)– A traffic stop Saturday evening in Emmet county resulted in the arrests of two teens on drug charges.
The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy conducted the stop after seeing the vehicle travel at a high rate of speed on Highway 9 west of Armstrong. Upon investigating the deputy detected the odor of a controlled substance. A subsequent search turned up drug paraphernalia and what’s believed to be marijuana. A 17-year-old male and a 17-year-old female, both from Fairmont, were taken into custody on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
