(Spirit Lake)– A traffic stop last Friday in Spirit Lake resulted in drug and other charges being filed against a Spirit Lake man.
The Spirit Lake Police Department says officers pulled over a vehicle around 7:20 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Sunner Avenue and 28th Street for a traffic-related violation. Upon investigating, officers determined 42-year-old Mark Torjesen of Spirit Lake had allegedly been driving while intoxicated. He was also found to be in possession of what’s alleged to be marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Torjesen was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated…first offense; possession of a controlled substance; possession of drug paraphernalia; speeding; driving without a license; and failure to have proof of insurance.
