Traffic Stop Results In Arrest Of Spirit Lake Man On Drug Charges

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)—A Spirit Lake man faces a drug charge following a traffic stop this past Sunday.

The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Charles E. Long, Jr. of Spirit Lake for a traffic violation. A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up plant material believed to be marijuana, drug paraphernalia, cash, a rifle and ammunition. Those items were seized.

Long was booked into jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was later released on his own recognizance.
