Traffic Stop Results In Arrest Of Graettinger Man On Drug Charges

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– A traffic stop Thursday east of Spirit Lake on Highway nine resulted in the arrest of a Graettinger man on drug charges.

The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Joshua Claussen for a traffic violation.

The deputy learned Claussen’s driver’s license had been revoked. Claussen was then arrested.

Upon searching the vehicle the deputy found what’s alleged to be methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Claussen was then charged with possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while revoked.

He was booked into the Dickinson county jail.

The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Spirit Lake Police Department.
