(Spirit Lake)– A traffic stop this (Wed.) morning on the east edge of Spirit Lake resulted in the arrest of an Estherville woman.
The Spirit Lake Police Department says an officer pulled over a vehicle shortly after 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Highways 9 & 71 and 252nd Avenue.
Upon investigating, the officer discovered the driver, 34-year-old Sara Farrell of Estherville, was wanted on a valid warrant out of Dickinson county for a parking violation. Farrell was subsequently placed under arrest.
Upon further investigation, officers discovered a green leafy substance alleged to be marijuana.
Farrell was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana…a serious misdemeanor; and no insurance.
