Tractor Rollover Seriously Injures Rural Spencer Woman

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)—A rural Spencer woman was seriously injured last (Tues.) evening when a tractor she was operating flipped over on top of her.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says authorities were called to 3525 200th Avenue around 7:00 p.m. after getting a report of a woman trapped under a tractor. Upon investigating deputies learned 52-year-old Diane Kiepe and her husband were attempting to pull an implement when the tractor she was operating flipped over.

Kiepe was transported to Spencer Hospital with unknown injuries and was later life-flighted to Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Spencer Police Department, Royal Fire and Rescue and Spencer EMT’s.
