(Sheldon)– A Sheldon man was injured Tuesday when a tractor he was operating rolled.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says 65-year-old Rod Dykstra was mowing grass on the shoulder of a road when the 4030 John Deere tractor he was driving entered the north ditch and rolled…coming to rest on its right side.
Dykstra sustained minor injuries, but apparently didn’t seek immediate treatment.
Damage to the tractor was estimated at $1,500.
The mishap took place around 5:45 p.m. along a county road about two miles south of Sheldon.
