(Milford)– There were a few tense moments yesterday (Tues.) afternoon when a tractor collided with a utility pole west of Milford, breaking off the pole and sending a power line down on top of the tractor.
They say the driver of the tractor apparently suffered a medical condition, causing the collision.
Crews with Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative arrived on the scene and removed the downed line. The driver of the tractor was taken to Spencer Hospital to be checked over.
The incident took place around 2:20 p.m. at a driveway just off of 170th Avenue.
The Milford Fire Department was also called to the scene to standby until the power company could get there to remove the line.
