November 22, 2014

(Emmetsburg)– Three people escaped serious injury Sunday in a single vehicle crash on a county road about a mile and-a-half east of Emmetsburg.

The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says Eleanor Wolf of Fairmont was driving a 2006 Buick westbound when she lost control on the snow-covered road. The vehicle slid through the north ditch before coming to rest on its passenger side in a corn field.

Wolf and two passengers in her vehicle, John and Donna Zuehlke of Garden City, Minnesota, were all checked over on the scene by paramedics.

$5,000 in damage was estimated to the vehicle.

The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Emmetsburg Police Department, Emmetsburg Fire Department and the Emmetsburg ambulance.

The crash took place shortly before 10:30 a.m.
