Three Charged In SL Clothing Store Theft

(Spirit Lake)– Three men from St. James, Minnesota face charges stemming from a theft at “The Look” in the Great Lakes Mall in Spirit Lake.

Spirit Lake Police Chief Jeff Hanson says a vehicle matching the description of one wanted in connection with the incident that took place shortly after 3:00 p.m. yesterday (Mon.) was stopped by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office at the intersection of Highway 71 and 11th Street in Milford.

Hanson says authorities found a large amount of allegedly stolen merchandise in the vehicle, including clothes, purses and shoes. He says most of the items appeared to be brand new and may have been stolen from similar stores.

Based on the investigation, authorities arrested 22-year-old Raul Schooley, 22-year-old Guadalupe Cindhel Lenz and 27-year-old Perla Edith Garza Sanchez…all of St. James, Minnesota. All three were charged with theft, conspiracy and theft in the fourth degree.

Hanson says the case remains under investigation.

Spirit Lake police were assisted in the investigation by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office and the Spencer and Milford Police Departments.
