The Lakes Project To Feed Ukrainian Refugees Will Be Assembling Meals Wednesday

(Spirit Lake)– Volunteers with “The Lakes Project” to feed Ukrainian Refugees will be assembling meals at the Dickinson County Expo Center in Spirit Lake Wednesday. Organizer Teresa Goehring says thousands of meals will be sent overseas…

“We set out to raise about $14,000. To date we’ve raised $59,000. So we were able to purchase instead of the 30,000 meals, we’ve been able to purchase 168,000 meals because all of the donated dollars goes toward the purchasing of meals.”

She adds the updates will be posted on The Lakes Project facebook page…

“Our Facebook page will be updated with some pictures right after and you can follow the organization it’s called Convoy For Hope, and we will post periodically where the food is and how long it will take to get there.”

About 300 volunteers are expected to prepare the meals Wednesday at the Expo Center.
