(Arnolds Park)-There’s a big Halloween Bash on tap at The Roof Garden Saturday night. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association will present Rock-o-Ween Saturday evening at The Roof Garden Ballroom.
Executive Director Clay Norris says the event will feature two bands. “We wanted to have a big costume party. You know, The Roof Garden affords us an opportunity to be in a nice ballroom, listen to some music. It’s a family-oriented event. We’re even going to have a trick or treat for the kids. The music will start at 6:30 with The Surf Zombies. They are just a blast. at 8:15 to about 10, we will have Vinyl Nights, and they are a very popular band based out of right here in Milford. They play a variety of rock and blues music. It’s all just gonna be a ton of fun for people of all ages, and we really encourage families to come.”
He adds that costumes are encouraged. “We’ll have a kid’s contest, 5th grade and under, and then we will have a 6th grade and over, basically an adult costume contest, and we have merchandise prizes for that.”
The doors will open at 5:30 Saturday night, with the music at 6:30.
