(Worthington)-A concert in Worthington will feature the music of the Vietnam War era this weekend. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Friends of the Auditorium will present The Fabulous Armadillos: What’s Going On Saturday night, at the Memorial Auditorium Performing Arts Center in Worthington.
Managing Director Tammy Makram says, the multimedia show will feature music of the 60s and 70s. “It is a wonderful show, and it’s not just the concert, it’s a multi-media experience. They have screens set up behind them that show video clips of the Vietnam War era. All kinds of really cool scenes from that time. The entire show is narrated by 3 Vietnam War Veterans that give some information about their experiences at the time. It’s just an incredible show with all the fantastic music of the Vietnam War era. So, it’s a very unique show, they’re just incredible musicians, and we’re really looking forward to doing this show.”
She notes that there are a couple of ways to purchase tickets. “Call our Box Office or stop by there Monday through Friday from 9-1 or just go online to our website which is friendsoftheauditorium.com“.
The concert will start at 7 o’clock Saturday night.
