(Okoboji)-A big fundraiser is on tap this coming weekend. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Pearson Lakes Art Center will hold their annual fundraiser on Saturday evening with Celebrate the Arts.
Executive Director Bob Kirschbaum says, proceeds help with operational expenses. “This is a biggie for us and there are still opportunities for sponsorships and tickets so, come out and help support the arts. It’s a great time. It starts at 5:30. Once you’ve purchased your ticket or bought a sponsorship, when you come, everything is free. So, a lot of beverages, a lot of food and a lot of entertainment.”
He adds that the Art Center has a big lineup of concerts and more on tap this summer: “It’s just an unbelievable lineup in all our areas here, but you’ll want to look at our roster and our lineup and get your tickets early. The Association, Gary Lewis & The Playboys, The Buckinghams, Hotel California, and we can’t forget the remarkable Marilyn Maye, just to mention a few!”
