(Terril)– There’s been a change in command on the Terril Fire Department.
According to a post on the department’s Facebook page, longtime Fire Chief Tim Mathews and Assistant Chief Scot Mathews resigned from their respective positions at a meeting of the Terril Fire Board August 27th. Jarod Fischer, Terril Ambulance Director, has been named interim chief.
A separate post goes on to say the Terril Fire Department is critically low on members and that it’s “very critical now that we attempt to find people to help this department.” It also states that mutual aid agreements are in place with neighboring departments to assist with manpower needs.
