(Spencer)– An Everly teen accused of driving her parents’ car without their permission while she was drunk faces several charges following a weekend traffic stop in Clay county.
The Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle on County Road B-24 around 5:19 p.m. Saturday driven by a 16-year-old female. Upon investigating the deputy determined the teen, who’s name wasn’t released, was driving the vehicle, owned by her parents, without permission and that she was allegedly intoxicated.
The teen was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated…first offense, operation without the owner’s consent, underage alcohol possession and violation of an instruction permit.
The juvenile was transported to the Youth Emergency Services Center in Cherokee.
