SW Mn Rollover Injures Five

(Windom, Mn.)– A single-vehicle rollover Thursday on Highway 60 just west of Windom sent five people to the hospital.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 30-year-old Ever Perez of Worthington was driving a 1993 Chevrolet van eastbound on Highway 60 when the front right tire blew out. Ever lost control and the van rolled multiple times.

Five passengers in the vehicle…all from Worthington…were injured and were taken to Sanford Hospital in Windom. Four were treated and released. They include 22-year-old Rene Martin; 26-year-old Rolando Garcia; 38-year-old Tomas Calel and 22-year-old Fernando Ramirez.

34-year-old David Juarez was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken to Sanford Hospital in Windom and was transferred to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls with a broken leg, cuts and bruises.

The van was totaled.

The crash took place shortly before 6:00 a.m.

The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office and the Jackson Police Department.
