SW Mn. Drug Investigation Results In Six Arrests

(Jackson, Mn.)– Authorities in southwest Minnesota say a six-month investigation into a drug case has resulted in the arrests of six people.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says 19-year-old HOng Phaengkhouane and 19-year-old Tyler Ayers…both of Willmar…were arrested in Jackson on a charge of delivery of cocaine.

The two men were also wanted on warrants–Phaengkhouane for a controlled substance crime in the fifth degree and Ayers for a controlled substance crime in the third degree.

Also arrested in Jackson were 19-year-old Michael Sibou of Jackson, who was wanted on a warrant for controlled substance crime in the first degree; and 19-year-old Trent DeRuyter of Worthington who was wanted on a warrant for a controlled substance crime in the fifth degree.

19-year-old Zachary Hinrichs of Lakefield was arrested in Lakefield on a charge of controlled substance crime in the fifth degree.

Phaengkhouane, Ayers, Sibou, DeRuyter and Hinrichs were all arrested Tuesday.

A sixth suspect, 19-year-old Gregory Carlson, formerly of Lakefield…now residing in Willmar…was arrested this (Wednesday) morning in Jackson on a warrant for a controlled substance crime in the third degree.

All six were booked into the Jackson county jail pending an initial court appearance.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in its investigation by the Cooperative Enforcement Effort Four Drug Task Force based in Willmar, along with the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota State Patrol.
