(Lakefield, Mn.)– An S-U-V collided with a wagon loaded with beans Wednesday as it was being pulled on Highway 86 just north of Lakefield…sending one person to the hospital.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 43-year-old Roberta Welch of Lakefield was driving a 1998 Chevrolet blazer when she rear-ended a gravity wagon loaded with beans that was being pulled by a tractor driven by 58-year-old Clark Hohenstein of Lakefield.
Welch was taken to the Windom hospital where she was treated for a minor injury and released. No injuries were reported to Hohenstein.
The blazer, wagon and tractor were totaled.
The collision took place shortly before 10:30 a.m.
The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and the Lakefield Police Department.
