(Spencer)– A report of a suspicious vehicle and man earlier this week landed a Spencer man in jail on drug charges.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to the 2300 mile of 330th Street around 6:20 pm Wednesday and made contact with 48-year-old Steven Marvin of Spencer. Marvin initially denied driving the vehicle but authorities say their investigation revealed otherwise.
While being placed under arrest, a deputy found a pipe in Marvin’s pocket. The vehicle was impounded and a probable cause search was conducted, resulting in authorities finding methamphetamine.
Marvin was booked into jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance, 3rd or subsequent offense; driving while suspended; driving while barred; possession of drug paraphernalia; fraudulent use of registration and failure to provide proof of financial liability.
