Suspicious Vehicle Investigation Results In Drug Arrest

(Estherville)– An investigation Saturday into a report of a suspicious vehicle at a farm site in Emmet county resulted in the arrest of a woman on drug charges.

Emmet County Sheriff Mike Martens says they received a call around 1:30 pm of a vehicle parked at the end of a farm drive, and that deputies found 55-year-old Sonia Black of Boyden who was at that location. Upon investigating it was discovered Black was allegedly in possession of a controlled substance.

Black was arrested and booked into jail on a charge of possession of a controlled substance…methamphetamine…1st offense. Bond was set at $1,000 cash or surety.

The Estherville Police Department assisted in the investigation.
