Suspicious Vehicle Investigation Results In Arrests Of Two Women On Drug Charges

(Spencer)– An investigation into a suspicious vehicle at a wildlife area east of Spencer last week resulted in the arrests of two Spirit Lake women on drug and alcohol charges.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy spotted the vehicle around 2:00 p.m. on April 5th at the Hawk Valley Wildlife Area. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of 52-year-old Karrie Ferguson on a charge of possession of a controlled substance…methamphetamine…a class “C” felony.

23-year-old Abby Ferguson was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication.

The two were booked into the Clay county jail.
