Suspicious Smell From A SL Apartment Results In Three Arrests

(Spirit Lake)– A report of a suspicious smell from an apartment has resulted in the arrests of three Spirit Lake men on drug charges.

Spirit Lake police say officers were called to 2702 Sunner Avenue, building eight in Spirit Lake shortly before 8:00 p.m. Wednesday regarding a suspicious odor.

After obtaining a search warrant, officers returned a short time later. A search turned up what’s believed to be marijuana and several items of drug paraphernalia.

18-year-old James Geelan, 20-year-old Marcus Siemers and 18-year-old Collin Hackett…all of Spirit Lake…were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana…first offense…a serious misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia and keeping a disorderly house…both simple misdemeanors.

The three were booked into the Dickinson county jail.

Spirit Lake police were assisted by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office.
