(Spencer)– A Spencer woman was arrested on multiple charges following an incident Thursday evening in Royal.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called around 7:30 pm after getting a report of a woman acting odd on main street in Royal. Deputies arrived and found the woman, identified as 31-year-old Shelby Wolthuis.
Upon further investigation they determined Wolthuis had allegedly been operating a vehicle that had been reported stolen from Greenville, and that she had allegedly burglarized three vehicles parked at a business in Royal.
It was also discovered Wolthuis was wanted by the Iowa State Patrol for failure to appear on a charge of driving while suspended or revoked.
She was booked into the Clay county jail pending an initial court appearance.
Authorities say an investigation into the stolen vehicle is ongoing.
