(Emmetsburg)– An investigation into a suspicious driver Thursday evening sent Palo Alto county deputies on a short pursuit that ended in the arrest of a Gruver man on several charges.
Authorities say it started around 8:20 p.m. after they received a complaint of a suspicious vehicle in the area of 320th Street and 460th Avenue in Palo Alto county. Deputies located the suspect vehicle a short time later and attempted to pull it over. The driver refused to stop, leading deputies on a short pursuit. They were eventually able to get the driver to pull over.
53-year-old Mark Schlauch of Gruver was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated…second offense; eluding law enforcement; and open container of alcohol.
Schlauch was booked into the Palo Alto county jail pending an initial court appearance.
