Suspicious Activity Complaint Results In Arrests Of Two Men At Public Access Area

(Spencer)– Charges have been filed against two men in connection with an incident late Monday afternoon at a the Hawk Valley Public Access area east of Spencer on Highway 18.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to the location after getting a report of suspicious activity.

Upon investigating, authorities arrested 56-year-old dennis Brauer for possession of huffing paraphernalia and interference with official acts.

Another suspect, identified as 54-year-old Paul Poulin, Jr., ran from the scene. He was found a short time later and was apprehended. He was charged with public intoxication/consumption.

Brauer and Poulin, Jr. were booked into the Clay county jail.

The incident took place shortly before 5:00 p.m.
