(Rock Praids, IA)–On Thursday March 12 the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department received information from the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force concerning a Rock Rapids man named Michael Edward Bauman. The Sheriff’s Office, FBI and Iowa Intelligence Fusion Center executed a search warrant at Bauman’s residence. Numerous computers and guns were seized. Bauman was arrested and charged with a class D felony Threat of Terrorism and is being held on a ten thousand dollar cash only bond. Bauman is alleged to have threatened to blow up a television relay tower, burn down businesses and kill law enforcement officials.
