(Sheldon)– Federal authorities say a suspect wanted in connection with the robbery of a bank in Sheldon nearly two years has been taken into custody.
The FBI says 38-year-old Leon Sutton was arrested last month in a suburb of Chicago. He was charged with one count of bank robbery by force or violence and one count of violent crime/drugs/machine gun by the FBI.
Sutton is accused in the June 3rd, 2021, armed robbery of Iowa State Bank in Sheldon.
He’s scheduled to go on trial this coming June 5th.
