(Estherville)—A Graettinger man faces multiple charges stemming from an incident earlier this week in which he was found hiding in the attic of an Estherville residence.
Estherville police say officers were called Tuesday to a residence after getting a report of a possible violation of a no contact order. Upon arriving a female told officers a man who was prohibited from contacting her was in her home and had retreated to the crawl space of the attic.
Police entered the residence and after about 20 minutes, they pulled the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Dallas Traver of Graettinger, out from some insulation he had been hiding under in the attic.
Upon further investigation, Traver was charged with stalking…a class “D” felony, trespassing, interference with official acts and 43 counts of violation of a no contact order.
Traver was booked into the Emmet county jail on a $50,000 cash bond.
