Supply Chain Issues Continuing To Cause Headaches

August 10, 2022 Steve Schwaller

(Spirit Lake)– Supply chain issues are continuing to cause headaches for many. The Dickinson County Secondary Roads Department is among those being impacted. County Engineer Dan Eckert told the Board of Supervisors this week it’s continuing to wreak havoc on several projects his department has going on right now, especially anything related to culverts…

“We’re doing our best and the industry’s catching up. They were at one time one year behind on building concrete pipe; they’re now into six months. So the good news is we’re catching up, but still difficult.”

Eckert says it makes it challenging when trying to meet deadlines in getting things done. In some cases projects are having to be rescheduled even.
