(Des Moines)– Summit Carbon Solutions has scheduled public meetings in 23 Iowa counties on plans to expand its pipeline route to serve additional ethanol plants. The pipeline would be extended by 340 miles.
The Iowa Utilities Board recently approved plans by Summit to build along its original 688 mile route through the state — if regulators in neighboring states approve the pipeline’s route outside of Iowa.
Summit began looking at the expansion after it was announced plans for the Navigator C-O-2 pipeline project were being dropped.
