(Sioux City)– A Storm Lake man has been sentenced to more than 19 years in prison on a federal meth charge.
28-year-old Joel Aguirre received the prison term after a March 18, 2008 guilty plea to one count of conspiracy to distribute over 50 grams of methamphetamine in the Storm Lake and Jackson, Minnesota areas from March, 2007 to August 28th, 2007.
In addition to the prison term, Aguirre must also serve a four-year term of supervised release after the prison term.
He’s being held in the custody of the U-S Marshal pending transport to a federal prison.
The case was investigated by the Buena Vista and Clay County Sheriff’s Offices; Storm Lake police, Buena Vista County Attorney’s Office and the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement.
