(Estherville)—The theft of a gun earlier this month in Ringsted has led to charges against an Armstrong man and a boy.
The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office says it received a report back on April 3rd regarding the theft of a Ruger 9mm pistol that had been stolen from a pickup. An investigation into the incident resulted in authorities searching a residence at 910 A Avenue in Armstrong that resulted in them finding the stolen gun and some drug paraphernalia.
37-year-old David Nohrenberg who lives at that address was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm as a person convicted of domestic abuse. Nohrenberg was booked into the Emmet county jail on a $9,750 cash or surety bond.
Authorities say a second suspect in the same case, a 16-year-old boy from Ringsted, was charged with burglary in the third degree. He was released to the custody of his parents.
Authorities say the case remains under investigation.
