(Des Moines)– Iowa has a new snowmobile law. The changes are expected to simplify the registration process, and provide funding for support programs and trail maintenance.
Snowmobilers no longer have to purchase separate trail user permits. The cost of those is now included in the 30-dollar annual snowmobile registration fee.
You can get a new registration at your County Recorder’s office. Renewals can be done through your County Recorder, or at the Iowa DNR website.
