(Spirit Lake)– The State Auditor’s Office has released an audit report on Dickinson county’s finances for the fiscal year that ended this past June 30th.
It shows the county’s revenues totaled $28.81 million, a 13 percent increase over the prior year. Expenses totaled $16.77 million, a 2.4 percent decrease from the prior year. The decrease is attributed to more capital contributions being received from the Iowa Department of Transportation.
The report singles out eight findings to the receipt and expenditure of taxpayer funds. It states that seven of the eight findings were repeated from the prior year.
