Spring storm could bring winter conditions to Midwest

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– Don’t put away those snow shovels and blowers just yet!
The National Weather Service says a late season snow storm could impact the region with a number of winter weather watches and advisories currently posted for much of South Dakota and Northern Nebraska.
Forecasters say temperatures will drop significantly by Tuesday evening, with a good chance for freezing rain developing.  Snow is in the forecast for Wednesday into Thursday for Northwest Iowa and Southwest Minnesota.
Travelers should be prepared for winter driving conditions beginning Tuesday night, and should stay tuned for updates on the forecast and any corresponding advisories.
