(Spirit Lake)– A traffic stop Thursday night in Spirit Lake resulted in the arrests of two west central Iowa men.
Spirit Lake police say officers pulled over a vehicle shortly after 11:30 p.m. that was being driven by 29-year-old Andrew McGowan of Carroll.
Upon investigating officers determined McGowan was allegedly intoxicated.
A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up what’s alleged to be drug paraphernalia.
McGowan was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated; possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding.
A passenger, 19-year-old Jesse Werkmeister of Lake View, was arrested and charged with public intoxication and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both men were booked into the Dickinson county jail.
