(Spirit Lake)– There were no injuries and very little to no damage in a minor fire this (Saturday) morning at the Spirit Lake Wal-Mart store. Spirit Lake-Superior Fire Chief Pat Daly says they were called to the Meat Department in the grocery area around 9:45 am…
“When we got trucks there we did a quick look and confirmed there was no smoke but when we went inside there was a small fire in one of the coolers. It took us awhile to get it disconnected.”
Daly says the store wasn’t evacuated and remained open during the incident…
“It was just a little tiny outlet that was inside the case so we just kind of kept everybody right there. We were monitoring it. If we had to we would have gotten everybody out of there. Like I say we’re merged with Superior and they even had a truck over here for us today so it’s all working out like it should.”
