(Spirit Lake)– Discussion about the Indian mascot is on the agenda for this (Mon.) evening’s Spirit Lake School Board meeting. It comes after the district received a letter recently from the Spirit Lake tribe of North Dakota demanding the district change the mascot, saying it finds the Indian mascot offensive.
This (Mon.) evening’s meeting will be held in the west commons area of the high school to accommodate what’s expected to be a large crowd. It begins at 5:30 pm.
