(Spirit Lake)-Spirit Lake High School students are spearheading a fundraiser for a local family. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Spirit Lake High School Key Club has launched a fundraiser to help the Brandt family, whose home was recently destroyed by a fire.
Webmaster Sydney Hunt explains. “We’re going to be doing a raffle ticket fundraiser, so, we’ve asked a bunch of businesses around the Lakes Area if they would like to donate a prize or a gift card or anything that they could really offer for us, and the tickets are $2. People have been buying them and you can put that ticket toward whichever prize you’d like to win and then we’ll draw them at our volleyball game on Tuesday.”
Club President Caleb Vanderweide says, there are several ways to purchase tickets. “During the school day we’ll be in The Commons at the High School. We’re selling those tickets mostly during our lunch periods, but also outside of that, on Monday, at the home JV and Freshman football games, we’re going to be selling them there, as well as at the actually volleyball game on Tuesday.”
Tickets can also be purchased at The Spirit Lake High School Office during business hours. Donations are also being accepted.
