(Arnolds Park)– Corbet Butler of Spirit Lake is the 2009 recipient of the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association Scholarship.
Butler is the son of Pat and Maxine Butler of Spirit Lake.
A junior at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Butler is majoring in Instrumental Education.
He accepted his scholarship award at the 2009 Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association’s Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Concert September 6th at the Roof Garden.
Butler is the fourth recipient of the scholarship, established in 2004.
14 Students applied for the scholarship this year.
